BioOkay. First things first: I already had an online journal on here under the nickname "wilmers" and it can still be seen unless the Live Journal gods deem it abandoned after I switch to this one. I have written for a while and less often since the summer holidays, but I'll be switching over to this one just because I felt it was a good time to start fresh for me.
Next, for those of you new readers, any of whom I may acrue, I would like to explain myself. My name is Wilma -- yes like the Flinstones, although I am not a cartoon character. I just finished attending UC Santa Cruz in California, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Education, planning for a career in early childhood or mild/moderate Special Education.
My life story, in a nutshell, is that I grew up an only child in a one bedroom household, in the livingroom with some unique parents in Carmel. I graduated from Carmel High School in the year 2000 and began my higher education at UCSC. I left there for a year in the last quarter of my sophomore year due to mental health issues, and began a rather difficult year during which I struggled with depression and other symptoms as well as the loss of my father. It took a while to get back, but last year I returned to my school and I'm well underway to completing my education at the moment.
Okay. Now that story has been told. Now I am much better and headed in a direction I feel good about. My journal will be a collection of thoughts, reflections on my life experiences and random bits of humor, quizzes and the like. All in all, not out of the ordinary, but only as different as the person who is doing the story telling.
